SERVES 3 big pieces TOTAL TIME 30 minutes DIFFICULTY not too tricky
INGREDIENTS:
1 roll of puff pastry
300 gr. apples
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. breadcrumbs
cinnamon
½ orange or lemon zest
a few sliced almonds
milk
DIRECTIONS:

Peel the apples and cut them into small pieces. In a bowl combine apple, sugar, cinnamon, breadcrumbs and orange zest. Mix and set aside.

Unroll the roll of puff pastry and cut it, with a pastry cutter, into 6 equal parts. Brush the edges of the puff pastry with milk, spoon a third part of apples mixture (about 60 gr.). On three squares and overlap with the remaining pieces of puff pastry. Close the bundles, seal the edges well, pressing with the fingers on the edge (with the index and middle fingers) and then horizontally engrave with three cuts on the surface.

Brush the top with milk and sprinkle with a few strips of almond.

Arrange the bundles with baking paper on a dripping pan, bake the bundles in a preheated oven at 200 C for about 20 minutes.

Remove the bundles from the oven, let them cool.

Serve the bundles sprinkled with icing sugar.
TIPS:
Apple bundles will keep well for ⅔ days in a closed bag or under the glass bell.
Sauté them in the oven for a couple of minutes to make them crispier!
