
TOTAL TIME 1 h & 10 minutes DIFFICULTY easy
INGREDIENTS:
1 kg. apples
300 g flour 00
150 g caster sugar
3 eggs
100 g butter
100 ml. milk
1 baking powder (16 gr.)
30 g walnuts
cinnamon to taste
zest of one lemon
lemon juice, to taste
DIRECTIONS:

Preheat the oven to 180°

Grease and flour a 24 cm diameter cake tin.

Peel the apples, cut them into slices and sprinkle them with the lemon juice.

Sift the flour and baking powder.

Melt the butter in the microwave or into a bowl placed over a pan of hot water. The water in the pan must not touch the bowl. Heat the pan over a low heat until the butter has melted, stirring occasionally.

With an electric mixer or in the mixer, work the cooled butter, sugar and lemon zest until you get a creamy mixture. Incorporate the eggs, one at a time.

Add the cinnamon and flours to the mixture, alternating with the milk.

Spoon half of the dough into the pan, cover with a third of the apples.

Add the remaining apples to the mixture and pour everything into the pan.

Sprinkle with the nuts roughly chopped by hand.

Bake at 180 degrees for about 50 min. or until the appetizer comes out completely dry.

Let cool in the mold for a few minutes before transferring it to a grate to cool completely.
