Peel the potatoes and cut them into cubes. Wash the cabbage and cut it first in half and then into strips.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a saucepan, brown the mixture with a little oil, and add the cabbage into the pan with the potatoes. Cook for a few minutes over high heat so that they flavor well. Chop the rosemary and add it to the vegetables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At this point add the farro which you will lightly toast, stirring, and the vegetable broth. Set aside some broth to adjust the consistency of the soup. Salt and pepper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Continue cooking over low heat, stirring occasionally, for about 30 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When the soup is cooked, pour it into bowls and serve with the toasted croutons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"substitutions-variations\"   >Substitutions &amp; Variations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul id=\"block-c95705a6-61dd-49e3-8dcd-ee08c231de88\"><li><strong>Barley<\/strong> - instead of Farro, you can use Barley<\/li><li><strong>Kale<\/strong> - use kale instead of cabbage<\/li><li><strong>Croutons<\/strong> - use gluten-free croutons instead of white bread croutons to make this gluten-free<\/li><li><strong>Vegetarian<\/strong> - slices of smoked bacon (or speck) are optional, leave them away to make this vegetarian. <\/li><li><strong>Water<\/strong> - instead of Vegetable broth, you can simply use water<\/li><li><strong>Spicy<\/strong> - add chilli pepper flakes while cooking to imbue heat into the dish<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"frequently-asked-question\"   >Frequently asked question<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"schema-faq wp-block-yoast-faq-block\"><div class=\"schema-faq-section\" id=\"faq-question-1650994511983\"><strong class=\"schema-faq-question\">What is Farro?<\/strong> <p class=\"schema-faq-answer\">Spelled is an ancient cereal with a delicate flavor and a substantial and slightly chewy consistency.
